Zoomin’ In - Mazda 6 2.5L (A) R-Grade

As far as advertising campaigns go, Mazda literally
cleaned house when it unleashed its first wave
of brand new cars styled with that hypnotic “Zoom-zoom”
tune.
Leading the first salvo was the Mazda6, appearing
in 2002, the car single-handedly crushed the competition
in terms of looks, driveability and even space,
sending a massive shock wave through the sleepy
executive sedan market.

Six years into its life and Mazda is back with
an all-new Mazda6, the new model is bigger, more
powerful, more spacious and most importantly…more
fuel-efficient (based on the 2L variant) than
the car it replaces. Mazda eschewed tradition
by making the new car lighter than its outgoing
sibling, contrary to most automakers who take
their new models on a weight-gain programme.
