King For A Day ! - Kia Picanto 1.1(A)

Now here’s a Kia that’s getting a much deserved make-over, the much loved Picanto. Gone is that chipmunk-like grille and cubic headlamps, replaced by a stylish new horizontal grille and round-ish headlamps. The effect? I could have sworn it looked like a mini Carens with the cute quotient up a couple of notches.

The side profile unfortunately remains pretty much unchanged, which is a shame, as viewed from the side; the FL and its predecessor are virtually indistinguishable. Back at the rear, the rectangular lamps of yore have sprouted big orbs in-between them adding to the Picanto’s new-found cheeky grin from the front. Overall, the Picanto’s puppy-cute demeanour has been freshened up and updated rather smartly.
