Sony HD Handycam HDR-TG1E

Sony’s new HD Handycam HDR-TG1E breaks into the handy cam market as the lightest and most compact AVCGD camcorder so far. Measuring 32 x 119 x 63mm and weighing just 300g, the HDR-TG1E delivers Full HD 1,920 x 1,080i video recording and captures still images of up to 4 megapixel resolution in various Memory Stick Duo media.

Pure titanium is incorporated for the first time in a camcorder chassis for a lightweight yet robust construction. Premium Hard Coating, significantly harder than the normal industry standard, is also applied on the Handycam body surface to increase its scratch resistance and allow for frequent use of the camera with minimal wear and tear.

The HDR-TG1E integrates Sony’s original ClearVid™ CMOS sensor with Exmor™ derived technology and the BIONZ™ image processing engine, delivering vivid, crisp movies and photos with high sensitivity and low noise. Face Detection technology has been incorporated for both video and photos, identifying up to 8 faces in the camcorder’s LCD frame. The in-built zoom microphone also allows the HDR-TG1E to focus sound capture on any specific subject that the camcorder zooms in on, ensuring a clear audio recording in Dolby© Digital 5.1 surround sound.

The Sony HD Handycam HDR-TG1E will be available in Singapore for S$1,999.
