It’s probably going to take someone really special to appreciate what Saab brings to the automotive dining table with each new model.

A quick scan through the brochure reveals nothing particularly different spec wise, but for whatever reason – be it some of that Swedish eccentricity or quirkiness – they always appealed to the true connoisseur.

Like its brethren, the 9-3 Convertible goes under the knife for a total image overhaul. The Convertible looks impeccably stylish, brought up-to-date without losing too much of Saab’s corporate identity. Though it may still be easy on the eyes, superbly built while packing enough grunt for a entertaining drive, the 9-3 Convertible’s true strength is in its everyday usability.
